Matt McCormick is the President and CEO of the Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership (CEP). With over 25 years of experience in the chamber industry, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to organizations and individuals in the chamber and economic development arena. Matt’s responsibilities during his career have ranged from membership director to president. As a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Speech Communications, Matt set himself up to achieve goals that not only benefit him, but the organizations he has worked for. He is a graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management and has received his Certified Chamber Executive (CCE), which is the highest distinction among chamber professionals.
Active in his local community and industry, he is the past Chairman of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) Board of Directors, Board of Directors for MAKO, is the past Chairman for the Board of Regents of the Winter Institute for Organizational Management for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and served on the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors. He is a past chair of the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organizational Management Board of Trustees, as well as a past chair for the Certified Chamber Executives Commission. He currently serves on the Accreditation Board and Committee of 100 for the US Chamber.
Matt has been married to his wife Tami for over 25 years, and they have two children, Braden and Ashlynn.
