Florida Association of Chamber Professionals Recognizes the CEP as Chamber of the Year

 

Ocala, Fl (September 25, 2018) – The Ocala/ Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership has been named “Chamber of the Year” at the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) fall conference held September 18-20, 2018 at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island. This is the highest award a Chamber can receive in the state of Florida.

“The 2018 chamber of the year recipient has much to be proud of and has demonstrated a high caliber of service to their communities and the members that they represent,” noted Tammy C. Bracewell, President of FACP. “The Ocala/Marion County CEP’s list of accomplishments was exceptional and demonstrated excellence in all areas of chamber operations,” she added.

“We are honored to receive the Chamber of the Year award from FACP”, says Will Thames, Chairman of the CEP Board of Directors. “This is a true testament that the CEP’s leadership and team are dedicated to making Ocala a community where everyone can succeed and grow.”

 In addition, the CEP received a first-place award for its marketing campaign for the launch of the CEP Network Magazine, the new quarterly publication that highlights the business community. Also, in first place an award for the Relocation Guide, an annual publication that showcases the story of Ocala.

 

The Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership was created to be a one-stop hub for the community’s business attraction, creation and retention efforts. The CEP’s mission is to be THE catalyst for a prosperous community. The Moving Forward plan seeks to impact the creation of 4500 new jobs with wages 15% above the county average and resulting in a capital investment of $400 million by 2022.
