CEP Announces New Director of Business Advocacy

Ocala, Florida (January, 22, 2024) – The Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership is pleased to announce its new Director of Business Advocacy, Kelli Holt.

“I have always had a passion for history, civics, and politics. With my experience in public relations and political science, becoming Director of Business Advocacy for the CEP is the ultimate opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills to benefit our amazing community,” said Kelli Holt. “I look forward to advocating for businesses and making connections and improvements, which will assist with our community’s growth and prosperity.”

Kelli has served more than 20 years in the sales and hospitality industry, building a strong foundation of trust and experience with diverse clients and organizations.  A graduate in Mass Communications with a focus on Public Relations and a minor in Political Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Kelli brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as a business advocate.

She initially excelled in the yacht and cruise industries, contributing to the growth of the Marine Industry Cares Foundation. Venturing into the hotel industry in Islamorada and later relocating to Ocala, Kelli's career trajectory led her to become the Regional Director of Sales at Pax Hotel Group and Equus Inn. Actively involved in the community, she has served on the board of the Marion Therapeutic Riding Association and participates in organizations like the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Marion County Builder’s Association (MCBIA). Kelli Holt remains a dedicated advocate for business and community, making a lasting impact with her extensive expertise and community involvement.

“As an organization of business, it is critical for the CEP to have a full-time team member dedicated to advocating for our business partners and continuing to further relationships with the business community and our public partners,” said Chief eXperience Officer, Tamara Fleischhaker. “Kelli’s experience in the local business community and passion for public policy make her the perfect addition to the CEP team.”

As the Director of Business Advocacy, Kelli will oversee the CEP’s local and regional advocacy efforts, candidate forums, elected official roundtables and connection events, the CEP’s inter-city visits, local purchasing information programs, along with advocacy and outreach with public officials on behalf of the business community.
