Business Advocacy Events
The Ocala / Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership engages our partners on legislative issues through our Business Advocacy Committee and special events held throughout the year with our elected representatives. It is our goal to create a forum to educate our partners on issues affecting their businesses and the community, while providing an opportunity to be an active part of the process.
Candidate and Issue Forums & Events
Our various forums and candidate events provide CEP partners with opportunities to meet city, county and state candidates for elected office and gain information about ballot issues prior to elections. Recent forums include a debate between proponents of the current tax system, Fair Tax and Flat Tax and a school board candidates forum.
Check out the video from our Tax Reform Debate held on April 27th at the College of Central Florida.
Legislative Delegation Luncheon
The CEP hosts a luncheon for the Marion County Legislative Delegation, local officials, and business leaders prior to the annual Legislative Delegation Hearings. This luncheon is usually held in the fall and is open to CEP Leadership, Champion, and Chairman's Circle partners.
Marion County Day at the Capitol
This annual event gives partners experience lobbying for our priority issues at the Capitol in Tallahassee. Participants also hear from special speakers and member of the Marion County Legislative Delegation.
