SECO Energy Earns J.D. Power Highest Ranking in Segment
Sumterville – July 15, 2015: SECO Energy, a not-for-profit cooperative serving seven Central Florida counties, ranks highest in customer satisfaction among midsize utilities in the South region according to the J.D. Power Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study released yesterday.
The study ranks midsize and large utility companies in four geographic regions: East, Midwest, South and West. Companies in SECO Energy’s segment - the midsize utility segment - serve between 100,000 and 499,999 residential customers, while companies in the large utility segment serve 500,000 or more residential customers.
In its 17th year, the J.D. Power study measures customer satisfaction with electric utility companies by examining six factors: power quality and reliability; price; billing and payment; corporate citizenship; communications; and customer service.
