First Avenue Unveils New Logo, Free Mobile Banking App and Announces Branch in The Villages
On Wednesday, October 22, First Avenue National Bank will unveil a new logo. The bank will begin using the new look immediately at its soon-to-open location in Pinellas Plaza of Brownwood in The Villages. The Ocala market will also begin to see a shift toward the new look with full integration of the logo by end of year.
“This month represents the culmination of several milestones for First Avenue,” shares Chief Banking Officer Dennis Ward. “We launched our free mobile banking app, began offering remote deposit capture, upgraded our online bill pay services and we are introducing a new logo and a mini logo. This is just the beginning of ‘what’s new’ at First Ave.”
“The new logo represents how we have evolved and grown in a relatively short period of time, while still representing where First Avenue is rooted,” says Pat Moses, Chief Credit Officer for First Avenue and one of the bank’s founders. “When the bank was founded in 2006, we chose the monument pillars on 1st Avenue that once served as the gateway to Ocala to visually represent First Avenue National Bank. We value our community and are proud to be a product of Ocala, which is why we’ve kept the pillar a part of our brand – it’s a part of our story.”
Along with remote deposit capture and an upgraded mobile bill pay service, First Avenue launched its free mobile banking app in October. The First Ave Mobile Banking app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for use on iPhone, iPad, Android and Google tablet devices. With the ability to transfer funds between accounts and mobile deposit capture via a smart phone or tablet camera, First Avenue customers can bank whenever and wherever they choose with the mobile banking app. Later this year, First Avenue will begin offering person-to-person payments, which allows customers to send money via text messages.
“In November we’ll celebrate 8 years of serving Central Florida. I am proud of our team and their efforts to offer our customers freedom in banking. First Avenue customers can bank from anywhere, at any time, any place.” says Gary Simanson, President and CEO of First Avenue National Bank.
To celebrate the many milestones that First Avenue has met in the last twelve months, the bank will be holding a “Why Not Wednesday” reception on October 22 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Infinite Ale Works located at 304 SE Magnolia Extension in downtown Ocala. Please RSVP.← Back
