Marion County Schools--Making the Grade

Posted on: December 29, 2013

Marion County Public Schools were in the news again recently with more accolodes for high performance.

With the release of high school report cards, 6 of the county's 7 mainstream high schools received either an A (3 schools) or a B (3 schools). This placed Marion County Schools among the best in the state.

Additionally, Marion County Schools recorded a graduation rate of 76.8% in 2013. The rate was higher than the state rate for the second consecutive year.

This follows news earlier this year that five high schools were ranked by The Washington Post as being among the nation's Top 8%.
