Four Ocala Businesses on 2017 Inc.5000 List
The Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership are pleased to recognize four businesses which have been named to the Inc. Magazine’s Annual Inc. 5000 ranking. The Ocala MSA is now home to four businesses that rank among the 5000 fastest- growing U.S. companies, which is one more than the previous year.
This year's Inc. 5000 includes two businesses from the Ocala area that have never been on the list the other two made last year’s list. This year, Inc. also acknowledged companies that made the list at least five times. Among the four Marion County businesses, Platinum Advisor Strategies is the longest-running, making the list for the 5th year. The following lists the four local businesses and their three-year percentage growth:
• MzeroA.com–1,875 percent
• Velocity Advisory Group–823 percent
• Raney’s Inc.– 239 percent
• Platinum Advisor Strategies– 44 percent
The 2017 annual Inc. 5000 list highlights independent small and midsized businesses in America. It delivers a distinctive perspective of the U.S. markets most successful businesses. A ranking on this prestigious list has become associated with entrepreneurial success. This year has the most competitive crop in the list’s history. According to Inc. Magazine, the average company on the list achieved a three-year average growth of 481 percent.
Inc. Magazine bases its rankings on three-year revenue growth. To qualify, the minimum revenue required for 2013 is $100,000; the minimum for 2016 is $2 million. Additionally, the list only considers companies that are independent, privately held, for-profit companies based in the U.S.
The magazine is holding an Inc. 5000 conference and gala for all the honorees in Palm Springs, California from Oct.10-12. Also, the businesses will be featured in Inc.’s September issue.
Earlier this summer, the CEP highlighted five companies which had been named to GrowFL’s Companies to Watch list. In addition to Raney’s and MzeroA, the following local companies were named by GrowFL as fast growing, privately owned businesses:
• Human Potential Healthcare Workforce Solutions, LLC
• Marion Precision Tool, Inc.
• Winco Mfg., LLC

All of these companies will be recognized by the CEP during the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration. The seven companies will be highlighted at the exCEPtional Mornings breakfast on November 15.
